BARRE – Vivian M. Bouchard Jacques, 91, of Johnson Street, passed away Sunday, May 15, 2016, at her home with her family at her bedside.
Born June 22, 1924 in Canaan, she was the daughter of Alfred and Irene (Thibault) Bouchard. She attended school in Canaan and graduated from Spaulding High School in Barre.
She married Benoit O. Jacques in St. Monica Catholic Church in Barre.
Vivian worked at the former Homer Fitts Company in Barre for many years as a clerk and as their window designer. She was a homemaker who took pride in caring for her family and home. She especially loved her daughters, grandchildren, and nieces and nephews.
Vivian was a warm-hearted person who loved people. She touched many lives of those she met.
She was a member of St. Monica Catholic Church and of Court St. Monica Catholic Daughters and was a collector at Sunday Mass. Her interests were reading, music, all types of crafts, cooking for family and friends, and spending time with her family.
Survivors include her three daughters, Sondra I. Jacques of Moretown, Veronica A. Bailey of Barre, and Monique M. Tewksbury and her husband, Scott of Barre Town; three grandchildren, Brent Tewksbury and his wife, Kimberly, Erika Bailey, and Shellie Bailey; five great-grandchildren, Logan Bailey, Zoe Tewksbury, Jaxon Bailey Perkins, Dylan Bailey, and Lilly Tewksbury; many nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents and former husband, three brothers, John Bouchard, Herbert Bouchard, and Alfred Bouchard predeceased her.
Her Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, May 21, 2016, at 2:00 p.m. in St. Monica Catholic Church in Barre. Interment will follow in St. Monica Cemetery in Barre. There are no calling hours.
