Viola L. Willard

BERLIN - Viola Lucy Willard, 90, of the East Barre Road passed away Saturday, September 16, 2017, at Woodridge Rehabilitation and Nursing Home.

Born November 23, 1926, at Heaton Hospital in Montpelier, VT, she was the daughter of Elmer E. Brown and Rose Beauchemin Brown. She attended school in Poughkeepsie, NY and returned with her family to Vermont in 1943.

On June 21, 1947, she married Roy William Willard of Plainfield, VT. He died August 9, 2001.

Viola was employed by Barre Plywood Company for five years. She later worked for JJ Newberry Company for 16 years and at McFarland House Nursing Home for 21 years in Housekeeping.

Survivors include her sons Roy Edward and Jon Jay Willard of Barre; her sister in-law Elaine Brown of Barre; grandchildren Wayne, Leon, and Maryellen Willard, Roy Sherman, Anthony Aja-Willard and Erin Hart; her great grandchildren Seth Flynn and Michael Willard.

A graveside service will be held at the convenience of her family under their direction.
