EAST MONTPELIER – Timothy Kevin Hudson, 61, of Powder Horn Glen Road, died Thursday, July 16, 2015, at his home.
Born October 16, 1953 in Montpelier, he was the son of Edward and Elizabeth (Coppins) Hudson. He attended East Montpelier Elementary Schools and graduated from Montpelier High School in 1971 and later graduated from the Building Trades Program at Spaulding High School in Barre.
Tim joined his uncle, Howard “Bud” Schaefer, in his construction firm, and for the past 30 years, had operated his own business, “Tim Hudson Building and Remodeling Company”.
On April 14, 1976 he married Sherri –Gina Aja at the Hedding United Methodist Church in Barre. Since their marriage, they first lived in East Montpelier Village and since January of 1982 have made their home at their present address.
Cooking, hunting, playing the drums, the family cottage at Peacham Pond, spending time with his grandchildren and being sure everyone was taken care of first were special to Tim.
Tim was a loyal and faithful member of the Hedding United Methodist Church in Barre and had served on the Board of Trustees and several church committees and was a life member of the Mutuo Inc., also in Barre.
Besides his wife Sherri-Gina, he is survived by 4 children; Ramon Hudson and his wife, Ashley, of Northfield; Erin-Elizabeth Hull and her husband, William, of Marshfield; Casandra-Lyn Liebenow and her husband, David, of Barre City and Kerry Hudson of Montpelier and 4 grandchildren, Alayna and Brayden Hull; Graysen Ramon Hudson and Chase Liebenow.
Also surviving is his brother Gary Hudson and his wife, Pamela, and sisters JoAnn Guilmette and Pamela Pollock and her husband, William, all of East Montpelier and nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his sister Judith Benedini.
Tim’s life will be honored and celebrated on Friday, July 24, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. in the Hedding United Methodist Church of Barre.
Interment will be made in the Doty Cemetery in East Montpelier.
Friends may call at the Hooker and Whitcomb Funeral Home, 7 Academy Street, Barre on Thursday from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m.
