Thomas E. Lussier, Sr.

BARRE – Thomas Earl Lussier, 57, of Pike Street passed away on Saturday, June 16, 2018 at his home.

Born January 24, 1961 in Barre, he was the son of Frank and Esther (LaForest) Lussier. Thomas attended Brook Street Elementary School and Spaulding High School both in Barre.

On July 30, 1994 he married Brandy Messier in Graniteville. Following their marriage, they made their home in Barre.

Thomas was employed as a Custodian at Spaulding High School, he then worked at Green Mountain Coffee Roasters before joining the staff of Vermont Castings. Thomas was a great dad always helping others.

In his spare time, Thomas played horseshoes with the Barre Horseshoe League and was interested in corvettes. He enjoyed fishing, family time, gardening, going to the ocean, boating, water skiing and loved to travel.

Survivors include his wife, Brandy Lee Lussier of Barre; his sons Thomas Earl Lussier, Jr., and his companion Amy Leavitt of Woodbury; Michael Scott Lussier and his wife, Devan of Greensboro Bend; and Shane Nicholas Lussier and his companion Mariah Fisher of St. Johnsbury; his daughter Shayla Elizabeth Messier of Barre; eight grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; his brothers Donald LaForest and his wife, Charlene of Barre; Michael LaForest and his wife, Tina of Orange; Jack Lussier and his wife, Alisa of Barre; and Joe Lussier and his wife, Candy of Ladson, SC; and his sisters Tina Lussier of Barre; and Becky Lussier of Barre; as well as several nephews and nieces.

He was predeceased by his parents.

The service to honor and celebrate his life will be held on Thursday, June 21, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. in the Hooker and Whitcomb Funeral Home, 7 Academy Street, Barre. Family and friends may call from 12:00 noon until the time of the service.
