Terry J. Tofani

PLAINFIELD – Terry J. Tofani, 76, a long-time resident of Country Club Road, passed away peacefully at his home on Friday, August 10, 2018.

Born on June 15, 1942 in Hartford, CT, he was the son of Joseph and Edna (Muckler) Tofani. He attended elementary school at St. Monica Catholic School and was a graduate of Marion High School with the Class of 1960.

Following his schooling, Terry made his home in the Central Vermont area and spent some years residing in Florida. He had worked at the Hope Cemetery in Barre, the Food Service business while in Florida and for Tofani Auto Sales.

Throughout his life Terry had many hobbies and interests, but the most important to him were boating on Lake Champlain, snowmobiling, watching NASCAR and spending time with his family. He was also a member of St. Monica Catholic Church, the Mutuo, and the Pier Ten Boating Club.

Survivors include his mother, Edna Tofani; his brother Donald Tofani and his wife, Dianne; his uncle Ronald Tofani and his wife, Marilyn; his cousins Tony, and his wife, Tina; Jeffrey, Timothy, and Ellen and her husband, Jim. He also leaves his nieces Valerie and Sheri, his nephews Donald Jr. and John also his great-nieces Morgan and Leslie Lyn and great-nephew Jay.

He was predeceased by his father Joseph Tofani, paternal grandparents, Emilio and Olga Tofani as well as his maternal grandparents, Leonard and Yvonne Muckler.

A time of fellowship and luncheon for his family and friends will be held on August 18, 2018 at 12:00 p.m. in the Steak House Restaurant on Route 302 in Berlin.

Inurnment will take place in the Plain-Mont Cemetery in Plainfield at the convenience of the family at a later date.
