Terry W. Frey

WILLIAMSTOWN – Terry W. Frey, 64, of Garden Street passed away on August 7, 2017 at his home with his loving family at his bedside.

Born October 17, 1952 in Springfield, TN, he was the son of Rayburn and Faye

(Nunley) Frey.

Terry attended high school in Manteno, IL. Following high school, he obtained a Bachelor’s of Science Degree in Elementary and Music Education at Illinois State University.

On August 20, 1983, he married Loretta L. Mulligan in Randolph Center, VT. Following their marriage they lived in Marshfield, VT, Burlington, NC, and Windsor, VT before eventually settling in Williamstown.

Terry was employed as a music and choral teacher at Orange High School in Hillsborough, NC, Windsor High School and State Street School in Windsor, VT, Barre City Elementary and Middle School in Barre, VT and Twinfield Union School in Marshfield, VT.

In his spare time, Terry enjoyed music, art, baking, gardening, composing and writing. He was a member of the Ascutney Union Church in Ascutney, VT.

Survivors include his wife, Loretta Frey of Williamstown; his sons Jacob Frey and his partner, Shirlaine DeForge of Groton, VT, Christopher Frey and his wife Habiba of Websterville; five grandchildren; his mother Faye Frey of Crossville, TN; and his brother William Frey of Crossville, TN.

In addition to his father, he was predeceased by his twin brother, Jerry Frey.

The service to honor and celebrate his life will be held on Monday, August 14, 2017 at 3:00 p.m. in the Hooker and Whitcomb Funeral Home, 7 Academy Street, Barre. Family and friends may call prior to the service from 12:30 to 2:30 p.m. For a memorial guestbook, visit www.hookerwhitcomb.com
