BERLIN, VT – Suzette Marchand Angell, 91, recently of Woodridge Nursing Home in Berlin, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family, on May 25, 2016, at Central Vermont Medical Center.
Born in Grasse, France, on April 30, 1925, she was the daughter of Georges H. Marchand and Marthe (Wattier) Marchand. She married Joseph Angell, Jr. of Roanoke, Virginia, on April 5, 1947 and made her home in Wilmington, Delaware after her marriage.
Survivors include her daughter, Ellen Angell Sholk and her husband, Alan, of Barre, Vermont; her son, Steven Robert Angell and his wife, Kathleen Magerr of West Chester, Pennsylvania; two sisters, Jacqueline (Marchand) Sastre of Marseille, France, and Mireille (Marchand) Gabert of Grasse, France. Also surviving are six grandchildren, Eric Sholk of Sudbury, Massachusetts; Lisa Sholk of Waterbury, Vermont; Amy (Sholk) Traverse of Underhill, Vermont; Matthew Angell of Wilmington, North Carolina; Natalie (Angell) Garrison of Charlotte, North Carolina, and Maria Angell of Wilmington, North Carolina. She also is survived by nieces, nephews, and five great-grandsons.
A celebration of her life will be held in Wilmington, Delaware, at a later date. There will be no calling hours.
