Stephen Lamorey

July 16, 1952 — March 23, 2015

BARRE - Stephen Lamorey, 62, passed away on March 23, 2015, after a long illness. To all of
his friends from his younger days, you knew him as “Drainer”. Stephen graduated from
Spaulding High School in 1970 and attended Champlain College.
Steve was preceded in death by his father Howard Lamorey. He leaves behind his
mother, Ethelyn, and sister, Martha (Dick), both of Lakeland, Florida, sister, Jo-Anne (Steve) of
Corpus Christi, Texas, and brother, Edward (Laurie) of Springhill, Florida. Also his nephews Ed
Lamorey, Jr., (Gloria) of Barre, Christopher Lamorey (Maria), of Wexford, Pennsylvania, and
William and Clayton Cox both of Corpus Christi, Texas. Steve cherished his family and loved
kids.
Prior to Steve's illness, he was a jack of all trades building his homes on Woodbury Lake
in Vermont and in Corpus Christi, Texas. For many years Steve resided in Corpus Christi
eventually returning home to the state his heart belonged to —Vermont. Steve was an avid
NASCAR fan and loved his Thunder Road. He had a great love of hunting, fishing, playing
cards, and listening to his great music collection. His best friend was his dog BEAR, who is
deceased.

The family wishes to thank all the people that have helped Stephen thru his illness, to the
whole staff of PRIDE, and especially his caregiver Bernie Isabel and the caring staff at Central
Vermont Medical Center as well as all the other medical community members that have helped
Stephen over the years.
