Stanley Alfred Nutter

WEBSTERVILLE – Stanley Alfred Nutter, 56, of Church Hill Road, died Saturday, January 24, 2015, at Central Vermont Medical Center in Berlin, with his family and friends at his bedside.

Born on November 24, 1958 in St. Johnsbury, he was the son of Frank W. Nutter and Marilyn (Paye) Wheeler and attended schools in Connecticut, Woodsville, NH and Wells River, VT.

Stanley worked in carpentry and maintenance throughout his lifetime until he became disabled. Stanley was a longtime member of the Barre Canadian Club and enjoyed travelling, fishing, playing darts, horseshoes, NASCAR racing, football and most especially spending time with his family and friends.

Survivors include his two sons, Christopher Nutter and Dustin Pelkey; his two daughters, Holly Nutter and Allison Pelkey; four step-daughters, Christina Brown, Heidi Campbell, Heather Brown and Tracey Dailey; three brothers, Steve Nutter, Kevin Nutter and Frank Nutter; sister, Amy Sweeney; and two grandchildren, Damian Lawton and Alton Hedding. Stanley is also survived by his former wife, Marie (Arnold) Adams who he married in 1978, and her son, Shawn, as well as his best friends John and Delsey Avery and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

Stanley was predeceased by his parents and his sister, Donna M. Nutter.

Funeral service will be conducted by Timothy Krauss on Saturday, January 31, 2015 at 1:00pm at Hooker and Whitcomb Funeral Home, 7 Academy Street, Barre. Following the service, the family will host a reception at the Barre Canadian Club.
