BURLINGTON - Stacy Lynn McLam, 27, formerly of Williamstown, died unexpectedly on June 6, 2016 at University of Vermont Medical Center (UVMMC) in Burlington.
Born June 1, 1989 as the fourth daughter to her parents, Michael and Roxann McLam, Stacy grew up in Williamstown, VT where she graduated from high school in 2007. She continued on to Hartwick College where she earned a bachelor’s degree in nursing in 2011. Throughout college she worked as an emergency room technician at Central Vermont Hospital and after graduation took a job as an RN in the medical intensive care unit at UVMMC where she provided kind, compassionate and highly skilled care for countless patients and their families.
Stacy will be remembered for her big heart and contagious smile. She brightened every room and knew how to make anyone laugh. She was smart and kind; beautiful inside and out.
Survivors include her mother, Roxann; three sisters, Elisha McLam and partner, Stefan Lischke, Laura McLam and her husband, Marcelo Silva, and niece Josephine McLam-Silva, and Janice McLam and partner, Daron Guy; her grandparents Alfred and Eunice McLam; along with multiple aunts, uncles and cousins.
Stacy was predeceased by her father, Michael McLam, and her maternal grandparents, Henry and Joyce White.
Stacy’s life will be celebrated on Friday, June 17, 2016, at 2:00 p.m. at the Barre Elks Club on Jefferson Street.
