Somjit G. Hunt

BARRE – Somjit G. Hunt, 63, of Maple Crest Rd. passed away on Thursday, October 22, 2015 at Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center after a courageous battle with cancer.
Somjit was born on December 17, 1951 in Thailand. She came to the United States in 1975 after she married James A. Hunt, who predeceased her in 2001. She moved to Vermont in 1984 and has made it her home ever since.
Somjit worked for Green Mountain Coffee Roasters doing Quality Assurance.
She is survived by her best friend of 12 years, Kenny Smith of Barre; her 2nd best friend, and fur child, Major her dog; her nephew, Jonathan Hunt of San Leandro, CA; step-son, Christopher Smith of Tewksbury, MA; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, David and Judith Hunt of Long Island, NY; and close friends Sunee and Sophia.
A funeral service to celebrate Somjit’s life will be held on Saturday, October 31, 2015 at 12:00 noon in Grace Christian Church, 47 Methodist Ln, Williamstown, VT. Memorial donations in Somjit’s name, may be made to the Grace Christian Church, P.O. Box 166, Williamstown, VT 05679.
