Shelley E. Henry

BARRE – Shelley Elaine (Prevost) Henry, 62, of Hill Street, passed away on Monday, December 3, 2018 at her home.

Born May 20, 1956 in Montreal, Quebec, Canada, she was the daughter of Gordon and Joan (Widgington) Prevost.

Shelley attended local elementary schools and graduated from St. Thomas High School. Following her graduation, she made her home in Pointe Claire, Quebec. She was employed by the Royal Bank of Canada.

On May 9, 1978 she married Lynnford Henry.

Shelley moved to Barre in 1986. She was employed by Global Values, Adams Granite and Rouleau Granite.

In her spare time, she enjoyed needle point, color art, and crafts.

Survivors include her partner Victor Chaput of Ferrisburg, VT; her sons Jeremy Henry and his wife, Kim of Naples, FL and Logan Henry of Randolph, VT; her grandson Theo Harper Russin of Essex, VT; her mother Joan Kennell and her husband, Arthur of Barre; and her siblings Bradley Prevost of Montreal, Que., Wade Prevost and his wife, Elena of Toronto, Ont., Corey Prevost of Atlanta, GA, Martin Prevost and his wife, Linda of Barre, VT, Chrysanne Hedberg and her husband, Erik of Durham, NC, Susan Cole and her husband, Chuck of West Boylston, MA, and Danny Kennell of Montreal, Que; as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins.

She was predeceased by her father Gordon Prevost as well as her paternal grandparents Clifford and May Prevost; and her maternal grandparents Fredrick and Lillian Widgington.

A service to honor and celebrate her life will be held on Saturday, December 8, 2018 at 1:00 p.m. in the Barre Lodge of Elks, #1535, 10 Jefferson Street, Barre. Family and friends may call on Friday from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. in the Hooker Whitcomb Funeral Home, 7 Academy Street, Barre, VT 05641. Later inurnment will be held at the convenience of the family.
