BARRE, VT – Sheila I. (Philbrook) McMillan, 79, passed away peacefully at home on Wednesday, September 9, 2026.

Sheila was born on April 13, 1947, in Manchester, New Hampshire, the daughter of Elmer and Lucille Philbrook.

Sheila had a great love for animals, especially her cats. She was soft-spoken, kind, and a hard worker. She worked at Timken Aerospace in Lebanon, New Hampshire, for more than 20 years.

Sheila is survived by her son, Allen McMillan of Barre; her grandchildren, Arianna Pennente of Garnet Valley, Pennsylvania, and Drake McMillan of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania; her brother, Glenn Philbrook of New Port Richey, Florida; her sister, Karen Clark of Derry, New Hampshire; and several nieces and nephews. She is also survived by her partner, Neil Cilley of West Topsham.

She was predeceased by her parents and her brothers, Gregg and Gary Katsakiores.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Central Vermont Humane Society, 1589 VT Route 14 S, East Montpelier, VT 05651, in recognition of Sheila’s love for animals.

Sheila will be remembered for her gentle nature, kindness, hard work, and deep love for the animals who brought her so much joy.
