Roger W. Oberman

BARRE – Roger W. Oberman, 84, a former long-time Barre resident passed away on Thursday, May 9, 2024, at Birchwood Terrace Health Care in Burlington.

Born on August 1, 1939, in Harrisburg, PA, he was the son of William F. and Marea (Gallas) Oberman. He attended local schools in Pennsylvania.

In 1956 he enlisted in the U.S. Army and served until he was honorably discharged at which time he joined the Army National Guard and moved to Vermont.

Roger was a general laborer at Sprague Electric in Barre until his retirement.

Survivors include several cousins, nephews and his friend Maria Cano.

In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his brothers Ronald and Richard Oberman.

The graveside service to honor and celebrate his life will be held on Wednesday, May 15, 2024, at 10:00 a.m. in Hope Cemetery in Barre. There are no calling hours.
