GRANITEVILLE - Robert Burton Quinlan III, 41, of Graniteville, passed away unexpectedly at Central Vermont Medical Center on Friday, October 4, 2024.
Robert was born August 13, 1983, to Robert B. Quinlan, Jr. and Susan (Lauzon) McWhinney.
He graduated from Spaulding High School in 2001 and spent his life passionate about fixing just about anything. He worked alongside John Neddo for many years at R&J Citco before opening “The Shop” in August 2014. Rob was a wizard, so intelligent and talented, he could tell you the ins and outs of any vehicle, enjoying even the hardest jobs. He finally got his first Corvette in 2018, which was one of his biggest dreams; he named it “Big Bird.” Rob had a big heart and would help anyone if he was able. You could always count on him to have the answer to your question or to fill you in on what the latest gossip was; he was quite the “gossip queen.” He enjoyed playing golf and poker amongst many other games, dancing, listening to music, shopping at Home Goods, and always doing projects at home; he really could do anything.
In 2016, he welcomed his first daughter, Brooklynn Charles Quinlan, with his long-time partner, Reta Sanders. In 2018, he welcomed his second daughter, Raven Oaklee Quinlan, with his long-time friend, Brittany Routhier, followed by his third daughter, Violet Reign Quinlan, in 2020.
Rob is survived by his father Robert “Bob” Quinlan, Jr. and wife Diane (Lajeunesse) Quinlan, of Sarasota, FL, his mother Susan “Sue” (Lauzon) McWhinney, of Barre, VT, his grandmother Barbara Lauzon, of Barre, VT, his sister Katie Corrigan and her daughter, Alexis, of Williamstown, VT, his brother William McWhinney and his partner Tameika of Barre, VT, along with MANY aunts, uncles, and cousins. Lastly, Robert leaves behind his 3 beloved daughters, Brooklynn, Raven and Violet.
Robert is predeceased by his grandfather, Robert B. Quinlan, Sr. and wife Jean (Chartrand) Quinlan, and also grandfather, A. Paul Lauzon.
