MONTPELIER – Robert W. “Bob” Morris, 58, of River Street passed away on Saturday, May 4, 2019 at his home.
Born on May 16, 1960 in Barre City, he was the son of Richard W. Morris and Joan (Calderara) Billingham. Bob attended elementary school in Lebanon, NH and graduated from Lebanon High School in 1978.
In October of 1984, he married Donna Koaster in Moretown. Following their marriage, they made their home in Montpelier.
Bob was a gas technician for Amerigas and Duke Energy before retiring due to illness. He as a member of the St. Augustine Catholic Church in Montpelier.
In his spare time, Bob enjoyed time spent at Thunder Road, flagging and working at various other jobs at the racetrack. He also enjoyed driving his Camaro and riding his motorcycle, although most of all he thoroughly enjoyed time spent with his granddaughter, family and friends.
Survivors include his wife Donna Morris; his son Joseph Morris; his granddaughter Baylee Morris; his mother Joan Billingham; his father Richard Morris and his wife, Rose; his sisters Doreen Deragon and Donna Fillian; and his favorite niece Kim as well as numerous nieces, nephews, sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, aunts, and uncles.
He was predeceased by his grandparents, Joseph and Leah Calderara and Mickey and Howard Durand; his in-laws, his uncle Nod Osmer, his sisters-in-law Gail and Amy; and his brothers-in-law Chris Deragon and Raymond Durand.
A graveside service to honor and celebrate his life will be held on Friday, May 10, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. in Hope Cemetery in Barre. Family and friends may call on Thursday from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. in the Hooker and Whitcomb Funeral Home, 7 Academy Street, Barre.
