Richard E. Russell

HENDERSONVILLE, NC – Richard E. Russell, 86, a former long-time Barre resident passed away on Thursday, January 27, 2022, in Ashville, NC.

Born on September 8, 1935, in New London, NH, he was the son of Robert and Lucille (Dodge) Russell. He attended local elementary schools and graduated from Simonds High School in Warner, NH.

Richard was employed as a Supervisor at the Aubuchon Hardware Store in Barre for over 37 years. Following his retirement, he moved to Henderson, NC.

He was a member of the Dana Baptist Church in Dana, NC and in his spare time, he enjoyed cooking.

He will be dearly missed by his companion, Cecelia Martin.

Per his wishes, there will be a private graveside service at Hope Cemetery in Barre. There are no calling hours.
