Rena M. Demers

BARRE – Rena M. Demers, 64, of Spaulding Street passed away on Tuesday, January 31, 2017 at her home.

Born on June 16, 1952 in Barre, she was the daughter of Willard and Pauline (Marceau) Demers. Rena attended Williamstown Schools and graduated with the class of 1969. She also attended Johnson State College.

Rena made her home in Barre, although she spent many years in Florida where she loved the sandy beaches and sunshine.

Rena was an amazing artist. She enjoyed volunteering with Prevent Child Abuse Vermont and for the bingo games at the Waterbury Senior Center. Also, she loved reading to the blind. Most of all, she loved spending time with her family and friends.

Survivors include her siblings, Phil Demers and his wife, Ellen of Woodbury; Irene Tash and her husband, Francis of North Montpelier; Roy Demers of Woodbury; Judy Shatney and her husband, Brian of Woodbury; Laurie Ewen and her husband, Art of Wolcott; Sharon Russell and her husband, Keith of Barre; Karen Demers of Barre; Paul Demers and his wife, Karen of Barre; and Susan Demers Delphia of Woodbury, as well as many nieces, nephews, and friends.

She was predeceased by her parents.
