WILLIAMSTOWN – Rebecca Bailey, 78, of Bailey Road passed away on Thursday, June 15, 2017 at the Central Vermont Medical Center in Berlin with her family at her bedside.
Born May 6, 1939 in Plainfield, she was the daughter of John and Frieda (Aiken) Morrison.
Rebecca attended the King Elementary School in Marshfield.
On June 27, 1971 she married David Bailey in Williamstown. Following their marriage they made their home in Williamstown.
Rebecca was a loving wife and caregiver spending her time working on the dairy farm with her husband.
Her special interests were fishing, camping, farming and most of all spending precious time with her family and friends.
Survivors include her husband, David Bailey of Williamstown; her sister Elsie McNally of Williamstown; two grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; as well as many nieces, nephews, and cousins. Also, leaves her brother-in-law Burton Bailey and his wife, Margery; and sisters-in-law Dorothy, Blanche and Edith in addition to many close special friends.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her son Eddie Bailey; her brothers John and Evi Morrison; and her sisters Rachel Trottier and Beatrice Irons.
Her graveside service will be held on Friday, June 23, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. in the East Cemetery in Brownington. Family and friends may call on Thursday from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Hooker and Whitcomb Funeral Home, 7 Academy Street, Barre.
