Randall Scott Goodall

BARRE - Randall “Randy” Scott Goodall, 54, of Barre, Vermont passed away peacefully Sunday, October 30, 2016 at home with his dog by his side.

Randy was born on July 6, 1962 to James and Janetlee Goodall. He graduated from U-32 High School as an all American basketball player. On June 11, 1988, he married Sloan Thompson in Montpelier and they had one daughter, Jenna Goodall, 24. Randy loved science and history and was always eager to learn. He took walks in the woods collecting rocks and panning for gold with his Bernese Mountain Dog, Elsa, and his good friend, Tim Thompson. Randy was loved by many for his sense of humor and heart of gold.

Randy is survived by his daughter Jenna Goodall, who is currently studying her Master’s Degree at The University of British Columbia; former wife Sloan Goodall; mother and father Janetlee and James Goodall; siblings Robin Lee Goodall, Richard Goodall and wife Robin Eide Goodall; niece and nephew Kelsey (Goodall) Hayden and James Brendan Goodall; as well as many loving friends.

A celebration of life service will be held at 1:00 pm Friday, November 4 at Hooker and Whitcomb Funeral Home, 7 Academy Street, Barre, Vermont.
