BARRE – Ralph Lewis Garneau, 73, of Farwell Street passed away on Sunday, May 18, 2025, at his home.
Born on June 9, 1952, in South Lyndeboro, New Hampshire, he was the son of Arthur and Edith (Rankin) Garneau, Sr. He attended schools in Lyndeboro. Following his schooling, he moved to Vermont and made his home in the Barre area.
He married Traci D. Pratt, and they later divorced. Then he married Vicki Magoon, and they later divorced.
Ralph was a painter and carpenter. In his spare time, he enjoyed fishing, hunting, camping, arts and crafts. His hobbies included making wooden animal figurines, fence peepers, coolers, and grill caddies, although most of all, he enjoyed being with family and friends and going for rides.
Survivors include his sons David Garneau, Jonathan Garneau, and Luke Garneau, his daughters Mindy Garneau and Kelsie Shedd (McCarthy), his eight grandchildren, his sisters Helen Kennett and Mildred Patton, and his brothers Richard Garneau and Ronald Garneau.
In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his sisters Loretta Gray and Anne Bailey and his brothers Raymond Garneau and Arthur Garneau, Jr.
The service to honor and celebrate his life will be held at the convenience of his family.
