BROOKFIELD – Norma J. DeVarney, 69, of Stone Road, gained her wings to fly high with the angels on October 1, 2015. Born on December 10, 1945 in Bradford, she was the daughter of John and Edith (Billings) Dunbar.
She worked many years as a nurse’s aide for Gormans in South Barre, Klien’s Laundry in Lebanon, NH, IPC in Canon, NH. She later retired due to her health, moving to Brookfield to be closer to her children.
She enjoyed cooking, gardening, and spending time with loved ones.
She is survived by her husband, Leroy DeVarney of Brookfield; her daughter, Sherry and her husband John Muentener of MI; her sons, Steven Henry of VT, and Dennis Henry and his wife Tina of VT; her step children, Joyce Wood of NH, Robin Bonbor of VT, Sharen and David Boylon of VT, Lisa and John Smith of NY, Danielle and Davis Flores of CA, and Jay Smith of NY; sisters, Josephine Searles of VT; Betty and Richard Blake of NH; brothers, Robert Dunbar of NH, Paul Dunbar of NH, and George Dunbar of VT. She was predeceased by her parents, brother John Dunbar Jr. and sister, Madelin Landry.
