Noreen C. Meunier

June 14, 1951 — October 25, 2019

Barre Town

BARRE - Noreen C. Meunier, 68, of Barre Town passed away on Friday, October 25, 2019 in the comfort of her home surrounded by family after a courageous battle with cancer.

Born on June 14, 1951 in Morrisville, she was the daughter of Eleanor (Jones) and Clarence Shedd Sr. She grew up in Graniteville, where she attended local schools, graduating from Spaulding High School in 1969.

Noreen worked at offices in the area before settling at Green Mountain Orthopedic Surgery in 1999, where she retired in 2016 after the practice dissolved.

Noreen's greatest love was her family. Time spent with them brought her much joy. Whether it was Sunday dinners, her annual family Christmas party or just a quick visit, you left with your heart and belly full. She was our Matriarch. A selfless woman, with great wit. She spoke and walked with purpose and determination, there was never any guessing what her thoughts were. She was an amazing friend and mentor to many. She had the ability to lead and love no matter where she went. Her mere presence brought love and security. She is loved and will be deeply missed by many.

Noreen is survived by her husband Guy A. Meunier; her daughters Raylene Meunier, Christine Donahue and her partner, Jordan Lowe; and her son Andrew Huckins; her grandchildren, her heart, Kyle and Craig Leibold; and Alexis and Jacob Huckins; her mother Eleanor Lynch and her partner, G. John Gribas; her sister Darleen Copeland and her husband, Lynn; and her brothers Hank Shedd and his wife, Joan, and Evared Shedd and his wife, Debbie as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins and close friends.

She was predeceased by her father Clarence Shedd Sr., as well as her maternal and paternal grandparents.

The family would like to extend a special thanks to Dr. Christopher Meriam and his wife, Patty for all of their love and support always. You both held a special place in Noreen's heart and continue to hold one in ours.

To the team at Central Vermont Home Health and Hospice, but most importantly to Casey LeClerc - your love, compassion and kindness we will be forever grateful for, you were our rock --with your guidance, smile, warm heart and most professional care we made it through this most difficult journey with comfort and peace.
