Nora Belle Jerry

BARRE CITY – Nora Belle Jerry, 66, of Eastern Avenue, died Wednesday, August 26, 2015 at her home, with her family at her bedside.
Born March 30, 1949 in Hollis, Oklahoma, she was the daughter of William Thomas and Alice (Kizer) James and graduated from High School in Fresno, California.
On August 11, 1979 she married Vernal E. Jerry, Jr., in Memphis, Texas. Following their marriage they made their home in Amarillo, Texas and since 1986, they have resided in Barre, being a homemaker all her married life.
Nora enjoyed craft working and watching television and was a long-time member of the South Barre Church of Christ.
She is survived by her husband, Vernal Jr., and daughter, Tamra Jerry, both of Barre City.
Also surviving is her brother, Monty James, in Oregon and nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her sister, Norma Roberts, and her brother, Terry James.
Her life will be honored and celebrated on Tuesday, September 1, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. in the Hooker and Whitcomb Funeral Home, 7 Academy Street, Barre, VT.
Later inurnment will be made in her home town in Hollis, Oklahoma.
