BERLIN – Nila G. McNaulty, 91, a former resident of Barre, passed away on Tuesday, January 20, 2026, at Berlin Health and Rehabilitation Center.
Born on January 22, 1934, in Barre, she was the daughter of Edward and Grace (Bean) Belville.
Nila was employed by the former Barre Steam Laundry for many years until she became an employee of Central Vermont Medical Center Laundry distribution center for over 20 years before transferring to Woodridge from which she retired.
In her spare time, she enjoyed watching westerns, game shows, and playing BINGO at the Canadian Club and Moose Club. She loved country western music and in her days at the nursing home, she enjoyed watching golf and soccer.
Survivors include her children Shirley (Terry) Potter, Bonnie (Raymond) Davis, Cynthia (Glenn) Nielsen, and William McNaulty; her grandchildren Dennis, Kellie & Jeremy, Christie & Dustin; her great-grandchildren Matthew, Christopher & Damian, Madylin, Ryan, and Taylan, & Olivia-Grace; as well as many nieces and nephews and her good friends Ricky Blake and Janice Smith.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her sisters Ruth Nutbrown and Bernice Smith and her grandson Michael Parker Jr.
The graveside service to honor and celebrate her life will be held at a date and time to be announced. There are no calling hours.
Nila’s family would like to thank the nurses and staff at Berlin Health and Rehabilitation for taking care of her for the last four years.
