Neil G. Sherman

BRAINTREE – Neil Gordon Sherman, 84, a long-time resident of Braintree Hill Road passed away on Friday, March 21, 2025, at Central Vermont Medical Center after over a month in the ICU.

Born on January 14, 1941, in Plymouth, Massachusetts, he was the son of Vernon C. and Evelyn N. (Hayward) Sherman. He attended Manomet Elementary School and Plymouth Carver High School. Following school, he became a self-employed landscaper and also worked in the construction industry.

On June 13, 1992, he married Melissa Hockman at his home on Braintree Hill where they made their home following their marriage.

In his spare time, Neil enjoyed riding motorcycles, shooting guns and gardening.

Survivors include his wife Melissa H. Sherman and his sons Paul M. Sherman and Mark V. Sherman as well as his sister Gail.

The service to honor and celebrate his life will be held at the convenience of his family. There are no calling hours.
