NORTHFIELD – Muriel Ann Grenon, 73, passed away on Sunday, April 7, 2024, at Mayo Nursing Home in Northfield.
Born on December 3, 1950, in Barre, she was the daughter of Rosario and Emma (Cram) Grenon. She completed local elementary schools and graduated from Spaulding High School.
She made her home in Waterbury for many years before moving to Plainfield. Muriel worked for over 20 years with Washington County Mental Health before retirement.
In her spare time, nothing made her happier than spending time with her family, especially her seven grandchildren. She always had a big heart for animals and was always willing to do anything for anybody that needed a helping hand. She also loved going to new places and fell in love with the beach and collecting shells.
Survivors include her sons Shawn Miller and his wife, Stephanie of Chapel Hill, NC and Chad Ploof and his wife, Tammy of Waterbury, VT; her seven grandchildren Grenon Miller of Raleigh, NC; Ashlea Miller of Wilmington, NC; Zach Miller and Emma Kate Miller, both of Chapel Hill, NC; Amber Ploof of Cincinnati, OH; and Brent Ploof and River Ploof both of Waterbury, VT as well as her sisters Barbra Clark of Barre and Marie Blow of Websterville and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her brothers Sonny and Louis Grenon.
Muriel’s family would like to give a BIG thank you to the staff at Mayo Nursing Home for the wonderful care that their mother received.
The graveside service to honor and celebrate her life will be held on Monday, May 20, 2024, at 11:00 a.m. in the St. Sylvester Cemetery in Lower Websterville. There are no calling hours.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Mayo Nursing Home, 71 Richardson Street, Northfield, VT 05663.
