MaryClaire N. Bullis

EAST BARRE – MaryClaire N. Bullis, 91, a longtime East Barre Resident, passed away peacefully on November 1, 2025, and is now with her husband in heaven.

Born on December 24, 1933, in Graniteville, she was the second daughter of Arthur and Dolores (Groleau) Beaudion who had immigrated to the United States from Canada. The family later moved to Barre.

MaryClaire attended Holy Ghost Graded School in Graniteville and went on to graduate from Spaulding High School in 1952. Following her schooling, she worked as a telephone operator until she met her best friend and love of her life, Raymon G. Bullis. The two were married on November 26, 1955, in St. Monica Catholic Church in Barre. They then made their home in East Barre, where they adopted and raised their three children.

MaryClaire’s faith was very important to her, and she taught Catechism and was involved with the church.

She is survived by her children Linda Marie Bullis of East Barre, Lee Anne Bullis of Jericho and Steven Ray Bullis of South Barre; her sisters Lorraine Dessureau of Ft. Walton Beach, FL and Anne Roy of Surprise, AZ; six grandchildren, two great-grandchildren and several nieces, nephews and their families.

A Mass of Christian Burial to celebrate MaryClaire’s life will be held on Friday, November 7, 2025, at 1:00 p.m. in St. Monica Catholic Church on Summer Street in Barre. Interment will follow in Wilson Cemetery in Websterville. A reception will follow the service at a place to be announced. There are no calling hours.

The family would like to express their love and gratitude for the staff at Mayo Rehabilitation and Continuing Care for their tender loving care of MaryClaire. They truly are like family there.
