Mark B. Beaudet

April 22, 1961 — May 8, 2025

Williamstown

WILLIAMSTOWN – Mark B. Beaudet, 64, a longtime resident of McGlynn Road, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, May 8, 2025, at his home.

Born on April 22, 1961, in Barre, he was the son of Benoit and Yolande (Routhier) Beaudet.  He attended Barre Town Elementary School and graduated from Williamstown High School in 1979.

Mark grew up in Graniteville, Vermont, with many friends. They all liked to raise cane, but they had the most fun times together and bonded into adult life.  Mark was a true friend to others and his long-standing buddies.

From snowmobiling in his younger years, boating, doing wheelies through upper Graniteville on his dirt bike, riding his Kawasaki, swimming at Jones’ quarry hole, fishing, washing his cars (if you know, you know), to his gardens, flowers, feeding and watching the birds, inside plants, fires, cutting trees and branches with his chainsaw, cooking out on the charcoal grill, mowing the lawns, walking around the property to admire his work and nature, visiting the guys at camp, Mark was always Mark.

Mark worked hard at everything he did.  He was stubborn, determined, and enjoyed a good BV and ginger. Captain Brown Water was always cooking up something for people to try.  He was our protector and safety net, and the best provider for his family.

He worked 43 years in several local stone sheds learning and perfecting many different skills.  When he retired, almost 2 years ago, he had been an excellent sawyer for many years.

Mark and his wife Linda met in high school and will be married for 35 years in August and together 11 years prior. Many years Mark and Linda were a part of each other’s families. He adored taking care of his mother-in-law; he was her favorite. We couldn’t forget the dog his daughter brought home one day who quickly became his best friend for life; he loved little miss Piper.

Mark’s biggest joy was his daughter, Taylor.  From the start, he got her a lifetime hunting and fishing license.  They spent some awesome times together in the woods and reminiscing after.  From her first turkey to her first deer, he was there.

For the last year, Mark found a purpose working at Taylor’s kitchen at Camp di Vino.  He enjoyed going each day to make sausage, dough (he declared he was the best at it), crank out ravioli, and help with whatever else was needed.  He helped her enormously, and he was the utmost proud of all she was accomplishing, her motivation, and determination, which were all qualities Mark possessed.

Survivors include his wife Linda Beaudet; his daughter Taylor Beaudet; his sisters-in-law Lori Gardner and her husband, Scott and Valerie Beaudet; his nephews Graham and Kyle Gardner and Brody Beaudet; his aunt Mercedes (Routhier) Brown as well as many cousins.

He was predeceased by his parents; his brother Richard Beaudet, his mother and father-in-law Kay and Lenny Erff, his uncle Gene Brown and his family dog Buddy.

His presence will dearly be missed, and we have one of the best angels watching over us.
