Marion T. Santor

GRANITEVILLE – Marion T. “Mari” Santor, 74, of the Graniteville Road passed away on Sunday, August 26, 2018 at the Barre Gardens.

Born September 9, 1943 in Randolph, she was the daughter of Clifford O. and Ethel A. (Bradshaw) Thurber. She attended local schools and made her home in Orange before settling in Graniteville.

Mari was first employed as a pet groomer at Pooch Place in Barre Town, then in retail sales at Zayres Department Store in Berlin, before working as a cook at a local Nursing Home for many years before retiring.

She was a member of the Faith Community Church and in her spare time she enjoyed reading, playing cribbage, putting together jigsaw puzzles and making jewelry.

Survivors include her daughter Marsha Cota of Barre; two grandchildren Clifton Cota of Barre and Bree Cota of Berlin; and one great-grandson Trey Cota; her sister Shirley Cameron of Front Royal, VA; her sister-in-law Dixie Thurber also of Front Royal, VA as well as many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her brother Ralph Thurber and her sister Elaine Ellmore.

The service to honor and celebrate her life will be held on Saturday, September 1, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. in the Faith Community Church, 30 Jones Brothers Way, Barre. Following the service there will be a time of fellowship before inurnment in the Brook Haven Cemetery in Orange. There are no calling hours.
