Marilyn J. French

GRANITEVILLE – Marilyn Joyce French, 82, a long-time resident passed away on Thursday, November 2, 2023, at Barre Gardens Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.

Born on June 12, 1941, in Barre, she was the daughter of Lawrence Edward and Grace (Mary) Peters.   She attended local elementary and high schools.

Marilyn was a Licensed Nursing Assistant (LNA) for over fifty years working at Berlin Health and Rehabilitation and Lincoln House.  After leaving Lincoln House, she was a private duty nurse until her retirement.

In her spare time, she enjoyed drawing, doing crafts with her grandchildren, playing bingo and going to garage sales as well as spending time with her family and friends.

Survivors include her daughter Lori Robinson (Dana) of Graniteville, VT; her granddaughters Brittany Davison of Waterbury, VT and Mkayla Robinson of Barre, VT; her four great-grandchildren, her sisters Barb Rugo (Bill) of Venice, FL, Virginia Morway also of Florida, and Linda Morris of Barre, VT; her brothers Lawrence French, Jr. of New Hampshire and Bobby Booth (Shirley) of Groton, VT and her half-sisters Veronica Loughlin of Florida and Gloria Chambers of Rutland, VT.

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her son Mark Jacques.

The service to honor and celebrate her life will be held at the convenience of her family.
