BARRE CITY – Luke Norman LaCroix, 30, a longtime Barre resident, died Wednesday morning, July 4, 2018.
Born on January 14, 1988 in Kileen, Texas, he was the son of David and Nancy (Savard) LaCroix. He attended Barre Town Elementary School and graduated from Spaulding High School in 2006. Following his graduation, he attended Lyndon State College, earning a Bachelors Degree in Sports Management, and Southern New Hampshire University where he received his Master’s Degree.
Since his schooling, Luke has resided in the Barre area. He worked for Aris Solutions and Spaulding High School. He served as the varsity lacrosse coach and the assistant football coach. He was also a member of the Barre Elks Lodge #1535 and the Vermont Ravens Football Organization.
Throughout his life, Luke had many hobbies and interests. The most important of these would include playing hockey, football, lacrosse, golf, and practicing karate.
Survivors include his parents, Dave and Nancy LaCroix of Barre; his sister Tynisha Doe and his brother Trevor LaCroix, both of Barre. He also leaves his maternal grandparents, Paul and Huguette Savard; a niece Yvonne Doe as well as many aunts, uncles and cousins.
He was predeceased by his paternal grandparents, Gabriel and Pauline LaCroix.
A Mass of Christian Burial to honor Luke’s life will be held on Tuesday, July 10, 2018 at 1:00 p.m. in the St. Monica Catholic Church in Barre. Interment will follow in the St. Sylvester Cemetery in Websterville.
