GRANITEVILLE – Luc L. Tremblay, 62, of Donahue Road passed away Sunday, September 24, 2017, at the Central Vermont Medical Center in Berlin with his loving family at his bedside.
Born May 12, 1955, he was the son of Louis and Lucyanne (Arnold) Tremblay. He attended local elementary schools and graduated from Spaulding High School with the class of 1974.
He married Catherine “Cathy” Berard 42 years ago and they always made their home on Donahue Road.
Luc was employed by Rock of Ages, retiring after 38 years of service.
He was a member of the St. Sylvester Catholic Church, the Canadian Club of Barre, and was Captain of the local horseshoe league.
In his spare time, Luc enjoyed playing cards, camping, puzzles, fishing and hunting, playing horsehoes and especially spending time with his children and grandchildren.
Survivors include his wife, Cathy Tremblay of Graniteville; his daughters Samantha Churchill and her husband, James of Barre Town, and Carolyn Wentworth and her husband, Joe of York, ME; his grandchildren Cameron Codling, J.R. and Nick Wentworth; his mother, Lucyanne Tremblay; his siblings Nickie Audet, Ginette Gosselin, Jacques Tremblay, Joanne Roberts, and Lisa Duff; his mother-in-law Mary Berard; numerous brothers and sisters-in-law and nieces, nephews, and cousins.
He was predeceased by his father Louis Tremblay and his brother Bert Tremblay.
A family graveside service to celebrate his life will be held on Saturday, September 30, 2017, at 2:00 p.m. in the St. Sylvester Cemetery in Websterville. There are no calling hours.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Palliative Care Unit, Central Vermont Medical Center, 130 Fisher Road, Barre, VT 05641.
