SOUTH BARRE – Louise Agnes Longchamp, 60, affectionately known as “Weezie”, passed away on Monday, September 8, 2025, after a long and difficult battle with Alzheimer’s Disease.
Born on January 29, 1965, in Barre, she was the daughter of Clifford and A’Della (Ellis) Hebert. She attended Williamstown Elementary School and graduated from Williamstown High School, where she was a great athlete.
In September of 1983, she married Steven Longchamp of Graniteville. They built their home in Moretown where they raised their three children. They later divorced.
Louise was a stay-at-home mom while her children were in elementary school. She then worked for her brother Gary at Vivid Color Labs in South Burlington before joining the staff at Agway in Montpelier where she loved working in the greenhouse and sharing her knowledge and love of plants, flowers in particular.
In her younger years, she enjoyed playing volleyball and softball, especially with her teammates on Dave’s Dairy. She loved spending time with her grandchildren, gardening, fishing, and exploring the outdoors. She also found great pleasure in watching wildlife with her partner Ric at camp in Island Pond.
Survivors include her partner Ric Guazzoni; her mother A’Della Hebert of Williamstown; her son Chris Longchamp and his wife, Carrie of Barre; her son Mike Longchamp and his wife, Kayla of Melbourne, FL; her daughter Katy Longchamp and her wife, Julianna of Biddeford, ME; her five grandchildren; her siblings Tom and Janice Hebert of Louisville, KY; Andy Hebert of Plainfield; Gary and Maddy Hebert of Fayston; Anne and Ed Malinowski of Taunton, MA; Donna and Tim Longchamp of Websterville; Judy and John Hilferty of Northfield; and John and Liz Hebert of Barre; and numerus nieces, nephews, and cousins.
She was predeceased by her father Clifford Hebert.
A private graveside service will be held at the convenience of her family. A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Friday, September 19, 2025, at 1:00 pm in the Old Labor Hall, 46 Granite Street, Barre, VT. There are no calling hours.
The family extends their sincere thanks to the compassionate and caring staff at both Valley View at Cottage Street in Bradford, VT and the Lafayette Center in Franconia, NH.
