BARRE – Logan Allan Jacobs, age 20, of Barre, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, June 25, 2016. Logan was born in Berlin on November 28, 1995, and grew up in Plainfield. He attended Twinfield Union School and graduated from Spaulding High School.
Logan was a hard worker, employed at L& D Safety Marking since 2014, recently earning employee of the year. But in his spare time he enjoyed being with friends and family. He loved anything with an engine - mud trucks, motorcycles, dirt bikes, snowmobiles, and of course, the only car he would have was a Honda. He had a heart of gold, and cared deeply about the people in his life. He would drop everything to help a friend in need. He was never afraid to show affection, and was always the goof to make them laugh.
Logan is survived by his mother, Lisa (Thompson/Stratton) DeForge; father, David Jacobs and his partner Cindy Bean; sister, Nicole Stratton; step brothers and stepsister Michael DeForge, Elmer DeForge, and Felicia DeForge; nephew Jackson Scott, and maternal grandmother Kay Parton. He also leaves behind Gary Stratton, who was like another father to him. Other survivors include aunts, uncles, cousins, and other family and numerous friends.
He is pre-deceased by his stepfather, Elmer DeForge II, maternal grandfather, Robert Thompson and paternal grandparents Harold Jacobs & Marion (Lavery/Jacobs) Spooner.
His funeral service will be held on Friday, July 1, 2016, at 2 p.m. at the Church of God of Prophecy, 241 Quarry Hill Road, in Barre Town. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Church of God of Prophecy in Logan's memory, c/o Jeff Kelley, 6 Veeder Avenue, Barre, VT 05641.
