Kelly
Anderson
Apr 20, 1979 — Jun 17, 2026
JOHNSON- Kelly Anderson, 47, known for her spirited independence, resilience in the face of adversity, and her unwavering tendency to let her heart lead the way with a side of sass, was unable to overcome a severe autoimmune attack that none of us saw coming.
Kelly fiercely loved her family and those lucky enough to call her a true friend. She is survived by Mom Shirley Adams; Daughter Kayla Emmons (suspected to have inherited spirited independence) and Son-in-Law Lamont Summers; Daughter Victoria Anderson (suspected to have inherited her mother’s kind heart) and Son-in-Law Garrett Franks; Sister Karen Mabe and Brother-in-Law Mike along with Niece Liz; Brother Aaron Blodgett and Sister-in-Law Leslie; Sister Jessy Adams along with Niece Emily Mendes and Nephew Christopher Hook; and Sister Amy Adams.
She was predeceased by Father Jack Sicely; Mother Leona Williams; and Dad Clinton Adams.
She was passionate about her work as head cook in the kitchen of The Round Hearth Cafe & Marketplace in Stowe. Though she took a rather circuitous path to find her happy place (which may or may not have been due to her inability to sit still for too long), Kelly was in her element in the kitchen dreaming up menus and creating new favorites. Kelly’s family would like to extend sincere appreciation to Merry and the rest of the crew at Round Hearth for treating her like family. Your kindness is heartwarming.
There will be an informal service to honor and celebrate Kelly’s life on Friday, June 26, 2026, from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. at The Round Hearth Cafe & Marketplace located at 39 Edson Hill Road in Stowe, VT. As this celebration is intentionally casual (Kelly complained fancy clothes made her itch), her family would be honored if attendees wore something in her favorite color, green.
Kelly’s family would also like to extend a special thank you to the UVM Medical Team who gave it their best to help Kelly during her unexpected health crisis.
