WILLIAMSTOWN – June Alice Parker, 84, of Vermont Route 64, passed away peacefully on Thursday, February 9, 2017 at the Central Vermont Medical Center in Berlin. Her loving family was at her bedside.

Born on May 7, 1932 in Bath, NH, she was the daughter of Floyd and Bertha (Spinks) Rollins. She attended elementary school in Websterville and Spaulding High School in Barre as part of the class of 1950.

On June 19, 1948 she married the love of her life, Arland Parker. They spent 69 wonderful years together raising a beautiful family at their home that Arland built in Williamstown.

Following her schooling, June took a position with Sprague Electric in which she worked for 16 years. She then left to work alongside her husband as a custodian and maintenance employee for UPS. They worked together there for 40 years until they both retired.

Throughout her life she held many hobbies and interests, but the ones that were most special to her included making ceramic animals, hunting, ice fishing, going camping, working in her flower gardens, playing cards with their great friends Thelma and Kenneth Carpenter, and most importantly spending time with her family.

June is survived by her loving husband, Arland Parker; two sons, Mark Parker and his wife, Laura and Arland Carter and his wife Lynn; two daughters, Belinda Bernier and her husband, Gary and Debra Dudley as well as 12 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren. She also leaves her brother, Herbert Rollins and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

She was predeceased by her parents, her son, Rickie Parker; two brothers, Gene and Ronald Rollins; three sisters, Evelyn Poirier, Daisy Donald and Florence Hebert; her great-grandson, Brandon and her son-in-law Rick Dudley.

June’s life will be honored and celebrated in a service on February 17, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. in the Green Mountain Gospel Chapel on Hebard Hill Road in Randolph.

Family and Friends may call on Thursday, February 16, 2017 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Hooker and Whitcomb Funeral Home, 7 Academy Street, Barre.

Interment will take place in the Wilson Cemetery in Barre Town at the convenience of the family in the spring.

Memorial contributions in lieu of flowers can be made in her name to the Green Mountain Gospel Chapel, 106 Hebard Hill Rd, Randolph, VT 05060.
