BERLIN – Joyce M. Clark, 84, formerly of Plainfield, VT, gracefully passed away on July 18, 2015 at the Berlin Health and Rehabilitation Center with her loving family at her side.
Joyce was born on August 9, 1930, daughter of the late Russell and Leah (Herrington) Goslant. She attended school in Plainfield and played on the girls’ varsity basketball team.
In her younger years, Joyce worked at the Rock of Ages Capacitor Plant in Barre. She also worked at a number of local Restaurants and later provided childcare.
She enjoyed doing many things including spending time with her family, doing puzzles, collecting owls, and spending time with her Red Hat Ladies.
Joyce is survived by her brothers; Russell Goslant and his wife Betty of Middlesex, and Basil Goslant of Germany; her seven children; Gary Lakin of Barre, Rosemary Modica and her husband Robert of Marshfield, David Lakin of Cleveland, OH, Cynthia Webster and her husband Bryant of Middlesex, Gene Lakin of New York City, Pamela Pronto and her husband David of Barre, and Penny Barnett and her husband Fred of Marshfield. She is also survived by her 15 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great grandchild.
A Funeral Service to celebrate Joyce’s life will be held on Saturday, July 25, 2015, at 11:00 a.m. in the Grace United Methodist Church in Plainfield. Interment will follow in Eaton Cemetery in Marshfield. There are no calling hours.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in her memory may be made to the Plainfield Fast Squad, Town of Plainfield, P.O. Box 217, Plainfield, VT 05667, who were always there when she needed them, or to Berlin Health and Rehabilitation Center, 98 Hospitality Dr. Barre, VT 05641.
