EAST CORINTH - Joshua Robtoy, 40, of East Corinth, Vermont, passed away unexpectedly at his home on Thursday, December 4, 2025.

Joshua’s life was marked by courage, perseverance, and a deep love for his family and friends. He was born in Burlington, VT in 1984 to JoAnn Quintin and Lincoln Robtoy. He graduated from Randolph High School, where he met his wife, Jennifer Robtoy. Following graduation, Joshua proudly joined the United States Marine Corps, serving in the Iraq War. During his tours, Joshua was awarded the Combat Action Ribbon. He was immensely proud to be a Marine and formed many lifelong friendships during his service.

Joshua and Jennifer were married in 2007 and shared four sons: Samuel (13), Jameson (11), Caleb (9), and Theodore (6). They have created countless family memories fishing, hunting, and spending time in Maine. Joshua especially cherished duck hunting with his children and friends, often on his beloved little boat, the “SS Mullet.”

The outdoors and its bounty remained a constant thread throughout Joshua’s life. He attended Paul Smith’s College, where he earned a degree in Forestry Biology where his research was published. Most recently, he worked at the Rochester Ranger Station in the Green Mountain National Forest. Joshua was known for his quick wit, warm personality, and his ability to make friends wherever he went.

Joshua will always be remembered for his deep conviction, protective nature, unwavering loyalty, and infectious sense of humor. He was an extraordinary father and husband, and his loss will be felt profoundly every day. His memory will continue to live on in the hearts, actions, and stories of all who loved him.

He is survived by his mother JoAnn Quintin; his father, Lincoln Robtoy, and partner Joan Smith; his wife, Jennifer Robtoy; his sons, Samuel, Jameson, Caleb, and Theodore Robtoy; his sister, Jamie Robillard and her husband, Austin Robillard, his brother Zachary Robtoy; sister Emily Robtoy, step-sister Melissa Porter; step-brother Aaron Desaultels and several nieces and nephews.

Joshua was preceded in death by his sister Sophie Robtoy.
