MONTPELIER – Joline Jones, 51, a longtime Barre and Montpelier resident, passed away on Sunday, November 16, 2025, at the University of Vermont Medical Center in Burlington.
Born on February 10, 1974, in Berlin, she was the daughter of Daniel and Sheryl (Emmons) Lang. She attended schools locally.
She made her home in the Central Vermont area where she lovingly raised her children.
Throughout her life, Joline had many hobbies and interests. Her favorites included watching Soap operas, watching Lifetime movies, spending time with her beloved dog Topper and visiting with her friends and family.
Joline is survived by her children Scotty Emmons (Salina) of Barre, Stephanie Edson of South Royalton, Samantha Edson of Connecticut, Seth Edson of Barre, Lillie Jones (Donald) of Williamstown, Righley Jones (Dezi) of Graniteville, Skylar Jones of Barre and Storm Jones of Barre. She also leaves her brothers Anthony Emmons (Leigh-ann) and Chris Emmons (Raven), as well as 14 grandchildren.
Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her granddaughter Isabella.
A celebration of Joline’s life will be held on Sunday, January 11, 2026, from noon to 4:00 p.m. at the V.F.W. post 790, 527 U.S. Route 302, East Barre, VT.
