Jeffrey Washburn

EAST BARRE – Jeffrey Washburn, 66, passed away peacefully on Saturday, November 16, 2024, at the Jack Byrne Center in Lebanon, NH.

Born on April 23, 1958, in Barre, he was the son of William and Katherine (Reynolds) Washburn. He attended elementary schools in East Barre, and Barre Town and graduated from Spaulding High School.

On July 2, 1977, he married Deborah Deming of Newbury, Vermont. Following their marriage, they made their home in East Barre.

Jeff with his wife, Deb owned and operated Deb’s Bakery for 18 years.  After that he was employed by the Department of Buildings and General Services for the State of Vermont for several years retiring the day before he passed.

In his spare time, Jeff enjoyed traveling. Wells, Maine being his favorite place to vacation.  Spending time with family and friends meant so much to him, especially his grandsons.

Survivors include his wife Deborah Washburn, his son David Washburn and his wife, Becca, and their sweet little Reid; and his daughter Katie Myers and her amazing son, Owen;  his brothers Thomas Washburn, Steve Washburn and his wife, Gail, and Jerry Washburn and his wife, Debby; and his sister Kristin Martin and her husband, Al; his sisters-in-law Jo Ann Whitcher and her husband, Danny; and Teresa Thompson and her husband, Kyle as well as several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his sister Karen Farnham and his brother-in-law Ray Martin.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date to be announced.
