MONTPELIER – Jeanette M. DeRosa, 78, passed away on Wednesday, January 1, 2025, at the Berlin Health and Rehabilitation Center.
Born in Providence, Rhode Island, she was the daughter of Carlo and Mary DeRosa. She graduated from Johnston High School.
Over the course of her career, she provided administrative support at the Observer Newspaper, Amprex Electronics (Philips Components), Blackstone Valley Electric (National Grid), and Bryant University and conversely made her home in Rhode Island, Florida, and Vermont.
Jeanette was an active participant at Faith Fellowship Church in Uxbridge, Massachusetts. In her final years, she reconnected with her Catholic faith in Central Vermont at St. Augustine and St. Monica parishes.
In her spare time, she was an avid walker, loved Vermont parks, crocheting, cooking for family, and spending time with her cat Boaz.
Survivors include her sons Jim Pugliese of Barre, VT and Jason Pugliese of St. Petersburg, FL; her two grandchildren; and her siblings Joann and Tony Sylvia and Janice Savard as well as her brother-in-law Bruno Mancini.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband Pat Martin, her sister Joyce Mancini and her brothers Carl DeRosa and Anthony DeRosa.
The Mass of Christian Burial to honor and celebrate her life will be held on Friday, January 24, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. in the St. John Evangelist Church, 63 Church Street, Slatersville, Rhode Island, with committal immediately following the service. For the Vermont community, a Mass will be dedicated on Wednesday, January 29, 2025, at 12:10 p.m. in the St. Augustine Catholic Church, 16 Barre Street, Montpelier, VT. There are no calling hours.
