Janet E. Twichell

Janet “Jae” Elaine (Baker) Twichell spread her wings to heaven on Friday, January 24, 2025, after a long, hard journey with Dementia.  Janet was born on August 3, 1941, daughter of Arnold and Gertrude (Roque) Baker of Burlington, Vermont.

Jae will be remembered as a strong, brave woman that didn’t always play by everyone else’s rules.  She was loyal, honest, generous, kind and had a dry, hilarious sense of humor. She always tried her hardest to be the best Mom, sister, aunt and friend that she could be.

Janet wore many hats during her long and adventurous lifetime.  Her most proud accomplishments included the time she served her country as a Military Police Officer in the US Army. She earned achievement badges as a rifle and handgun sharpshooter. Jae was also very proud of her time as a Licensed Nursing Assistant at Starr Farm Nursing Home.  She worked many long, hard shifts during her time there. Even coming in on personal time to sit with a patient that needed their hand held or extra support.

Janet will be remembered lovingly by her daughter, Holli Vidal with her partner Tim Brick, Jr. By her son, Larry Twichell with his wife Danielle.  By her cherished grandchildren, Jake Messier and Shelton, Hazelle and Kai Twichell. By her sister Dolly Cabral, her other sister, Lois McBride with her husband Henry and by her brother, John Baker with his wife Pat.  Along with many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.  Janet was predeceased by her parents, her brother Arnold Baker with his wife Janice, and her younger brother Robert Baker.
