Jane Patch

PITTSFORD – Jane Provost Patch, 67, a born and raised Barre resident, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, June 4, 2025, at her home in Pittsford with her loving family at her bedside.

Born on November 23, 1957, in Barre, she was the daughter of Bertrand and Lucille (Chaloux) Provost.  She attended St. Monica Catholic Elementary School and graduated from Spaulding High School in 1976.

On May 6, 1984, Jane married Marc Patch in the Universalist Church in Barre.  The two made their home in Pittsford, where they raised their son.

Some of Jane’s favorite things to do were gardening, going fishing, boating and especially spending time with her family and friends.

Survivors include her husband Marc Patch; her son Ryan Patch; her siblings Ivan Provost and his wife, Dottie, Lucie MacAskill and her husband, Dave, Donald Provost and his wife, Kathy, Andre Provost, Roger Provost and his wife, Donna, Shirley Labor and her husband, Percy, Pearl Harriman and Jerry Provost and his Partner, Joy.  She also leaves behind her mother-in-law Patricia Patch and her sisters-in-law Viki Patch, Erin Salvas, and Kimberli Ward and numerous nieces and nephews as well as her best friends Rosie, Janet, Linda, Lorraine, Sherrie and Patty.

Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her father-in-law Orton Patch.

A graveside service to honor and celebrate Jane’s life will be held on Tuesday, June 17, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. in the St. Sylvester Cemetery in Lower Websterville.  There are no calling hours.

Jane’s family would like to give a heartfelt thank you to her hospice nurses Amy and Cadie for the exceptional and loving care that they gave her.
