BARRE- Jacqueline (Jackie) Audet Colombo, born on November 12, 1938, in Washington, Vermont, and formerly of Barre, Vermont, passed away peacefully on April 23, 2026, in Hendersonville, North Carolina, at the age of 87. She initially retired to South Carolina before later settling in Etowah, North Carolina.

Jackie led a distinguished life marked by her dedication and hard work as co-owner and operator of Colombo Granite Company in Barre, Vermont, alongside her husband. Her commitment to excellence was evident to all who knew her, and she was respected for her steadfast leadership and integrity.

She was preceded in death by her beloved parents, Ernest Audet and Rachel Chartier Audet, as well as her brothers, Fernand, Real, and Raymond Audet.

Jackie leaves behind a loving family who will cherish her memory: her devoted husband, Robert Colombo; her two daughters, Kristin Burke (Michael) and Kim Barber (Michael); and her two beloved grandchildren, Michael C. Burke and Kate Burke.

Beyond her professional accomplishments, Jackie found great joy in life's simple pleasures. She was a gourmet cook who loved preparing meals for her family, and she had a deep appreciation for gardening, bird watching, sewing, and crafts. After her retirement, she dedicated much of her time to volunteering in her community. Jackie and her husband especially enjoyed traveling together, often sharing those experiences with close friends. She also held a special place in her heart for her beloved cat.

Jackie’s legacy of love, strength, and quiet grace will continue to inspire those who were fortunate enough to know her. Her family and friends will forever hold her in their hearts, remembering her as a woman of great warmth and enduring kindness.
