BARRE TOWN - Isabella C “Tish” Rossi, 85, of Skylark Terrace passed away Monday, July 18, 2016 at Central Vermont Medical Center after a brief illness.
She was born August 7, 1930, daughter of John K Campbell and Blanche (Morrison) Campbell in Graniteville, VT.
Tish attended Lower Graniteville Elementary School, and graduated from Spaulding High School in the class of 1948.
She worked at Peerless Insurance Company, and the Barre office of the C. I. O. On January 10, 1953, she married Peter Rossi in the Graniteville Presbyterian Church. They made their home in Barre City until 1971 when they moved to Barre Town.
Tish was a long time member of the Barre Congregational Church, where she was always a member of the Chancel Choir- She loved to sing!
She was a member of the Altrusa Club of Barre since 1971 and the Granite Center Garden Club of which she was granted a Certificate of Life Member of the Federated Garden Club of VT in 2011. She was also a long time member of the Country Club of Barre.
Her main interest were her beloved children, grandchildren, and great -grandchildren, knitting and doing whatever she could for her friends, and people in general. She was a “people” person.
Tish is survived by her children, Douglas Peter Rossi, Robin Onorina Bergeron, along with her much loved son-in-law, Nicholas Bergeron; grandchildren, Adam Bergeron, Kristen Bergeron Christeas (Elias), Andria Rossi, Marisa Pacetti (Aaron); great-grandchildren, Ella Rose and Samuel Thomas Bergeron, Sophia Isabella and Theo Alexander Christeas, and Aria Jameslynn Pacetti, as well as friend, Giovanna Pucci.
She is also survived by her brother, Murdo Allen “Tony” Campbell and his wife Gail, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Tish was predeceased by her parents, two brothers, John “Buddy” Campbell and Kenneth Campbell, four sisters, Ethel Sweet, Verna Imperiale, Beverly French, and Lois “Anne” Call. She also leaves one sister-in-law, Lucille (Campbell) Hoyt. Another sister-in-law, June Campbell is deceased.
Her life will be honored and celebrated on Friday, July 22, at 11:00 AM at the Barre Congregational Church, 35 Church Street, Barre, VT. There are no calling hours.
The family would like to extend their deepest appreciation to the wonderful, caring healthcare professionals at Central Vermont Medical Center and Woodridge Nursing Home, who cared for her so compassionately during her brief illness. We will forever be grateful.
