PLAINFIELD – Irene A. Weinreich, 92, formerly of Country Club Road passed away on Monday, July 3, 2017 at the Central Vermont Medical Center in Berlin.
Born May 16, 1925 in South Kingstown, RI, she was the daughter of Abner and Irene (Roy) Steadman.
Irene attended South Kingstown Graded and High School.
On June 28, 1947, she married Lawrence K. Weinreich. Following their marriage they made their home in South Kingstown, Rhode Island before moving to Plainfield, Vermont in 2000. He died September 8, 2001.
Irene was employed by Leviton Manufacturing in West Kingstown as an assembly worker before becoming a homemaker.
She was a member of AARP and in her spare time enjoyed reading, putting together jigsaw puzzles and walking.
Survivors include her children, Douglas Weinreich and his wife, Carol; Joyce Steere; and Linda Beeden and her husband, Herb; her grandchildren Kyle S. Weinreich, Neil D. Weinreich, Keri Beatrice, and Kendra Stringer.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband Lawrence K. Weinreich and her son, Kenneth Weinreich.
The service to honor and celebrate her life will be held later this summer to be determined by the family at the Plain-Mont Cemetery in East Montpelier.
