Ina L. Lamphear

WILLIAMSTOWN – Ina L. Lamphear, 76, of Baptist Street passed away on Monday, September 25, 2017, surrounded by her family.

Born August 10, 1941, in Harrisville, PA, she was the daughter of Reverend Charles E. and Mable K. (Eaton) Hanna, Sr. Ina attended Barre City Schools and graduated from the Vermont Career Opportunities Program.

She married Robert A. Lamphear, Sr., on August 30, 1958 in Barre, VT. Following their marriage, they lived in Montpelier, Barre City, and Williamstown.

Ina was employed by the State of Vermont, Department of Agriculture as a secretary for 20 years.  She was a member of the New Life Assembly Church, serving on the Board of Deacons.

In her spare time, Ina enjoyed crocheting, gardening, family gatherings, the beaches of Florida, walking outside, playing bingo and family marshmallow fights.

Survivors include her husband, Robert A. Lamphear, Sr., of Williamstown, VT; her children, Diana L. Johnson and her husband, Albert, Jr., of Williamstown, VT; Robert A. Lamphear, Jr., and his wife, Pamela of Montpelier, VT; Jeffrey A. Lamphear, Sr., and his wife, Claudia of Taylorsville, KY; Kerry L. Lamphear, Sr., and his wife, Stephanie of Middlesex, VT; Larry A. Lamphear and his wife, Belinda of Stannard, VT; and Traci L. Desrochers and her husband, James of Milton, VT; 19 grandchildren; 33 great-grandchildren; and 2 great-great grandchildren; her brothers John Hanna and his wife, Patricia of Niles, OH, and Charles “Eddie” Hanna and his wife, Carol of Norwalk, OH; as well as many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

In addition to her parents, Ina was predeceased by her daughter Terri-Ann, grandson Christopher Hallock, granddaughter Charlotte Lamphear and great-granddaughter Alisha Lamphear.

The service to honor and celebrate her life will be held on Saturday, September 30, 2017, at 2:00 p.m. in the New Life Assembly Church, 304 Hill Street, Barre. There are no calling hours. Inurnment will be made in the Durant Cemetery in Cabot at a later date.
