WILLIAMSTOWN – Huguette Pauline Hebert, 85, a longtime resident of Hebert Road, passed away peacefully on Sunday, February 15. 2026 at the Mayo Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Northfield.
Born on February 24, 1940, in Val-d’Or, Quebec, she was the daughter of Joseph and Helene (LaFleur) Desrochers. She attended school at St. Flavier in Quebec.
In 1963, she married Raymond J. Hebert. They built their lives in Williamstown where they resided for the rest of their lives. Raymond passed away in 2015.
Throughout her life, Huguette worked for many different businesses. These included Lemay Sewing Factory, Vermont Plastics, Malden Mills, Unifirst Corporation, and Vermont Flannel. She was a member of St. Edwards Catholic Church in Williamstown as well as the Ladies of Saint Anne.
In her spare time, she enjoyed crocheting, knitting and sewing, gardening and family events.
Survivors include her daughter Carolyne H. Hebert; her siblings Carmen Desrochers partner Camille, Liz and Serge Cote, Daniel and France Desrochers, and her sisters-in-law Noella and Diane.
Besides her husband, she was predeceased by her son Mark J. Hebert, her sister Cecile and Claude Ferland, and her brothers Jean Guy Desrochers and Julian Descrochers.
A Mass of Christian Burial to honor and celebrate Huguette’s life will be held on Saturday, May 23, 2026, at 12:00 p.m. (noon) in the St. Monica Catholic Church, 79 Summer Street, Barre. Following the service, burial will take place in the Williamstown Village Cemetery. There are no calling hours. A celebration of life gathering will follow the services at a place to be announced.
