Helen E. Emerson

BERLIN – Helen E. Emerson, of Crescent Lane, passed away peacefully Saturday, June 4, 2016, at the Berlin Health and Rehabilitation Center.
Born November 3, 1923, in Buchtel, OH, she was the daughter of the late Edward and Jennie (Russell) Calvert and was married to Howard F. Emerson who passed away in 1993.
She was a housewife and was very active in the Hedding United Methodist Church of Barre and had belonged to Ruth Chapter #33 OES.
Helen is survived by 2 sons; Thomas Emerson of Mt. Holly, VT and Andy Emerson and his wife, Shelia of Middlesex; 3 grandchildren Christian Emerson and Joshua and Michael Welch and several great grandchildren. Also surviving is Dottie Bockus of Saugus, MA and Robert Emerson of Peabody, MA whom she and Howard raised as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents and her husband she was predeceased by her sister Agnes Williams and 4 brothers Edward, William, Charles and Leroy Calvert.
Helen has requested there be no calling hours or funeral service. Inurnment will be made in the Berlin Corner Cemetery at the convenience of her family.
